Birth of Love & Rockets
Building a blog is like any good marriage. It takes a lot of love, patience, trust and communication. Most important of all is the perseverance to get to the essence of it. To strip all thats pretty and expose all thats true, the raw, the roots, the skeleton, the heart. And its ongoing. Once finalised, its not a promise that it will stay perfect forever, as times keep changing, we change and grow.
And all of that is fun if you find the right people to build with.
I got married, had a baby girl and grew up, just a little, and decided to go on an adventure of blogging. There are thousands of variables how to build a site, many templets made easy to use, hundreds of excellent professionals who can build it for you. I came across Zane and Lara.
They worked together as a family on the Love & Rockets blog, Zane, Lara, Jethro: the tech expert, the visionary and the kid. Their office is a home, creative and relaxed environment. The second time I spoke to Lara about my logo, she had the idea to give the project of drawing it, to her son. They presented to me the hand drawn sketches and Love & Rockets was born.
I love their somewhat quirky approach to business. Even though they have recently gone into a partnership under a bigger company, The Framework is not run by an iron fist and I am relieved that human creativity, from which the exciting surprises are born, still exists in this super flawless world of technology. Its tangible, its raw and its built together by a family and friends.
